Virgil Finlay

Virgil Finlay (1914-1971), one of the titans of the golden age of sci-fi/fantasy pulp magazine illustration.  over his career, he churned out thousands of illustrations, done in pen and ink as well as scratchboard, and many fully painted covers.  one of fantasy art's great visionaries to this day.
